    Oil light on check panel

So today I disconnected my battery to change my light board on my OBC. After doing that, I reconnected everything including the battery. I started the car to find the engine oil light on my check panel illuminated.

I parked my car and checked my engine oil, and at that time it was right about on the low mark of the dipstick. Thing is though, my driveway is sloped and the car had been sitting there all day with the engine being on the low side of the driveway.

I drove the car around the block, let it sit for a few minutes, and when I checked the level it was about half way up the dipstick. The engine oil check light was still on though.

Thoughts? Possible the check light was tripped from the car sitting at an angle all day? What level would the oil have to be filled to in order to make the light turn off? Also, possible that the level reader got fryed somehow when I reconnected the battery? I'd go buy some oil right now to fill it up to see what that did, but most everywhere is closed right now.

The oil level light may have tripped because of the way the car was parked and the oil level. The sensor can get gunked up and have a slow response time. If that's all it is, the light should go out after the car is driven engine to get the engine fully hot, perhaps 10-20 minutes at highway speed.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

On my last e30, once the oil light was tripped, it wouldn't turn off unless I disconnected the battery. Even after months of driving, the light wouldn't turn off without resetting the battery. I can't explain why though.

So I was going out to my car to try exactly this, but thought I'd check the light panel one more time before I did so and the oil level light was off!

I love when problems magically fix themselves haha.
