on board computer display too dim

i took out my radio/on baord display to replace a couple pf lightbulbs, and when i reinstalled everything, the readout is way too dim, almost too dim to read. it's like it's at night and i've turned down the dash lights.
it's working, as i can re-set the time/date and the temp readout is there, but it's almost too dark to read.

I'd guess that one or more of the bulbs in the light bar the illuminates the display in the OBC are out. The light bar slides into the right side of the OBC, so it isn't obvious that there are bulbs there.

Or you wiggled something loose. I intermittently have the same problem you're having. I've never had good luck with lights in that area. I didn't even know the A/C controls illuminated until 3 years after I had the car. They randomly lit up one night. Haven't done it since then.
