    problem with map light!!!

    okay soooo....i got to fit it today and i cant get it to pop in...i tried for an hour finally got it almost in and it popped out i look and the wire is like cut into from the spot its trying to go in....i taked to my friend who is on R3V and he said i may be having the problem because i have an early 318 "84" and i have no power up there ..i ran a power source and everything is stright...but i cant get them thing in!!!!! any help would be appreciated !

    Push really really hard. That's how I got mine on after I accidentally popped it off.

      i did....it feels like the wire is keeping it from going in?? is that possible?

        Most people splice the maplight wiring into the check panel harness don't they? Why would you have wiring going into the mounting hole for the mirror?

          Very early M10 cars didn't have check panels or a hole for them.
