Small arc = no windows or blower motor power

I was replacing my starter today and forgot to disconnect the battery beforehand. I was removing the power to the starter and the socket arced against the block. It was a very small spark and I didn't think much of it. Naturally I removed the neg lead to the battery and finished up.

Hooked the battery back up and now my fan/blower motor doesn't work at all and neither do my power windows.

A bunch of relays under the hood were clicking when I hooked the power back up. Can they be damaged or should I unhook the battery again for an extended amount of time?

    All fuses are intact.

Black/Green wire on the starter, see if you can find it..

Take a wire and jump Black/Green to ground, you should see those functions restored, if not you fried something.

So if functions are restored, then I should swap out the starter?

FYI, this is why I swapped starters in the first place:

Relays click when they're not getting enough current to be stable. You may have fried a cell in your battery when you shorted the starter out.

Do the other electrical systems work fine?

As far as I can tell, everything else works fine. The relays do not click at all any more... just when I first hooked the batter back up.

So if I ground the black/green wire and the windows and blower motor start working again, then I should just replace the starter as it probably has a bad terminal?

What in the HELL did you do to your starter? What does the flywheel look like?

Both of you propably have -88-> cars and somehow you managed to buy <-88 starters.

                  Just ground the bleck/green wire.

one of the terminals on the starter was bad. I regrounded it to another terminal on the starter. Everything works great now.

I did the M20 flywheel swap on mine... just matched an M20 starter that looked similar to my M42 one.

                      Andrew,
Flywheel is fine. My guess is one of the teeth on the starter broke and then it was just a chain reaction every time I started it.
