help restore heated washer nozzle wiring

My (canadian) e30 came with the cold weather package which included heated seats, heated mirrors, heated door locks, and heated windshield washer nozzles.

i took my hood off yesterday, and there is in fact wiring running to the heated washer nozzles. however, the wire coming out of the hood (right with the tube for the fluid) connects to nothing. The PO installed some shitty universal washer fluid pump since the original one probably failed. he had to splice to get it on there.

here is what the end of the wiring that comes out of my hood looks like:

why does it loop onto itself like that? how do i wire this back like the factory?

from what someone hinted to me, it needs to be daisy chained with the washer pump. im gonna try that out, see what happens.
