Is anyone's oil lever "low"?

My idiot light is always on and I'm guessing the the sender is broke.
Does anyone else have this light on all the time?
I was thinking of removing it and seeing if I could some how clean the thing (maybe it's just clogged or something) Has anyone ever tryed this? Commen problem?

dunno, maybe gasoline to clean it.

If you are that broke then either unhook it or just get another used one.
