Removing Door Chime??

    Removing Door Chime??

    I hate the damn door chime that these cars come with. Anyone know how to remove whatever makes that sound?

      The car won't start without the door chime installed.

          It's a stupid speaker that is removed by a screw under the steering wheel if I'm correct. I was so annoyed by mine I unplugged it but left it in there.

          No longer stock ride height, rolling as low as a daily driver in New England should without worrying about breaking an oil pan. :up:

                  If you have an early bolster it just clips on to the inside of the bolster.

                  Not exactly sure on an airbag car but I think it is just clipped to the lower bolster.

                      dont remove it.. jsut put one layer of electical tape on it..

                      My car over heated and since I was in gangster mode on a 4 hour drive I couldn't see it over my air bag wheel. thank god for the fresh oil that helped the motor survive the heat...

                      and the bong is way better than anything of the same year as an e30, your crazy.

                          what year is your car? in my 86 and 87 i just unpluged them. the one from 87 was thrown at a mac truck... the truck won. (stupid friggin 'ice conditions' warning at 38 degrees F.... *rolls eyes* i get it. its cold.)
