    Snow +1, Oil cooler -1

My oil cooler took quite a licking when I decided it would be necessary to drift into my driveway to impress the girl in my passenger seat. (not brilliant) The piled snow bent the front valence back into the oil cooler and punctured a decent size hole so that oil now spews from the cooler and the car is undriveable.

At the moment Im thinking I might just bypass the oil cooler all together but Im having troubles finding plugs for the oil cooler lines to the engine. It looks to be 22mm fine thread (1.5 pitch) but Im not positive of this. Theres a Jegs down the street so perhpaps they have something comprable? Any suggestions?

    Thanks....oh and its a 87 325is

Hold up. Important part of the story is missing, did you play it all off like nothing bad happened or did said female laugh at your bavarian snowplow?
          Jah bless! :pimp:

Go to a salvage yard or your dealer and get the double threaded bolt used on M20's that don't have an oil cooler. That allows you to remove the oil filter adapter and screw the filter directly to the block.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.
