    Unusal High idle

Just recently my car has started to idle at around 1200-1400 RPMS. It normally idels around 600-800. Its steady though, not a up and down idle. The car had the oil changed about 900 miles ago, along with the air filter cleaned. Any ideas why it would be doing this? Thank you

Could be a sticky ICV, throttle body, or accelerator cable.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

CodyLtr ... not to steal your thread or anything, but here goes.

jlevie, been meaning to ask you this ... so if it is a sticky ICV, is there a way to unsticky it :D? wd40 or something?

        Cheers

It doesnt do it when you first start it up, only after you've driven it a few miles...

Remove the ICV and spray Carb cleaner into it. Let that work for a few minutes and then blow it clean with compressed air. Repeat until the vane moves freely.
