ok what the hell is there a way to remove the hook shaped plug on top of the b pillar without breaking the b pillar? which way does this thing even come out?

Step 1- take a prozac

Step 2- remove the phillips head screw from the hook

Step 3- tilt the hook UP (push the tip of the hook towards the B pillar) and pull the plastic hook out- it's probably stuck a bit to the vinyl- but it will come out

Step 4- done.
