Does it make any sence to put a fuel accumulator on a 87325i

    Hello all,

I went to the junk yard today and pulled off some pieces. I took a fuel pressure regulator and put that in and I think the car runs better now. I pulled a fuel acumulator of a old 735i and was wondering if it would be a bad idea to put in the 87 325i that I have. I am trying to cure a cold hesitation problem.

I do not see how it would hurt the car but I would like to run by you folks

    thanks

    ps i love junk yards

Personally I wouldn't do it. Your car should already have one or 2 fuel pressure dampers in the system. An accumlator from a 735 most likely won't help a car it wasn't designed for.

I would recommend you track down the actual problem.

FYI you can't find a new 325i fuel accumulator. BMW stopped selling them because it was decided they do nothing.
