    Blower motor

I replaced the resistor board on the blower motor yesterday and it fixed the whole only working on 4 deal. But the motor itself makes insane noises when it's on, especially at 3 and 4.

My question is any idea what could be causing the excess noise? Motor going bad? Loose somewhere? Any info would be greatly appriciated.

Bad bearings, broken impeller, or improper mounting of the blower motor. Open the housing and spin the motor by hand and you'll be able to tell if the bearings are bad or if the impellers are rubbing on something. If pieces are missing from the impellers or the bearings are bad you'll need to replace the motor.

thanks for the help. when i was doing the resistors, i spun the motor around, and it turned fine. but there were two impellers missing. i didnt really realize that a missing impeller could cause such a crazy noise.

How do i get the motor out?

      thanks again

Pop the clamp around the motor and it will come free.

And it will work even better once you replace the blower.
