CEL Stomp Test = nonstop flashing?

My Check Engine Light came on.

First thing i did was the pedal stomp test to get the code (Not the first time i've done this)
CEL blinks once, pauses as normal.

Then it just keeps flashing nonstop at the same pace, no pauses, no stopping, just constanting flashing.

I thought werid, it can't get no codes from it, searched online, don't see any explaination for the constant flashes.

Anyone know what could be wrong?

Car seems to drive like normal, fuel consumption seems normal. Tried it several times and got the same results.

    TIA.

Try disconnecting your battery, then see if you get the light again. Try the stomp test and see what happens.

      Tried this, didn't work.

CEL light came back on, stomp test provided same results.

Cars still runs good, got better gas mileage on this tank than the last. (500+km) But that was probably due less traffic and more freeway driving.

        Shot in the dark, TPS?

If not, try swapping ECU's if you have another kicking around.

Which manual? Bently? Isn't there a code for bad dme?

I'd swap ECU's and TPS(Pain in the ass since the little torx bolts are siezed). I also want to try swapping the AFM, i have a few others laying around.

But I hate working outside in the cold.....
