    Engine oil light

I was driving on the freeway today back to school, and all of a sudden the "engine oil" light turned on in my overhead check panel. The oil pressure warning light in my instrument cluster however remained off, but I pulled right off on the next exit. I checked my oil and found it between the min and max. Any ideas what could be the problem? I am pretty confident the oil level is fine, i just changed it 2500 miles ago and haven't noticed any marks on my driveway indicating a leak, but this light is making me a bit nervous. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks

Sensor's probably gone, or the harness vibrated loose.

If the level light comes on and your oil level is where it should be, I wouldn't be too completely worried. If the pressure light came on, that'd be a different story.

Yeah the pressure light clicks off pretty much immediately when I start the car. How would I go about checking the harness to see if it is loose? Thanks for the quick response
