    skid plate

has anybody had any problems with this skid plate not being able to reach the front? how much of a gap is it suppose to leave from the skid plate to the oil pan? because mines have a big bap. and my skid plate is like a half of a inch off the gourd maybe less than that. so when i drive i just scarp every thing. or is my car is just too low. im running lowtec 60/50 with drop hats, camber plates, with a 205/40/16 size tire...
    Here are some pics.

What the hell did you attach the back of it to? I'd hazard a guess that that is your first problem.

A well designed skid plate is better then a replacement oil pan any day. That skid is not well designed or installed incorrectly.

Breaking a pan is all fine and dandy, until you fry your motor from no oil.

I got a skid plate off of ejnight on here. I also have the lowtec 60/50 drop. The plate on mine sits ruffly about 2 1/2" from the ground. But yes, your plate is too low.

That's one of Eric's plates. You didn't install it right. The holes along the front should reach the radiator support. You either need to make it fit farther forward, which will draw it up from the ground, or your car is messed up.

There are two sets of holes the rack uses. it looks like you are using the back bolts. If you use the front holes it will move the plate forward and the front holes will line up. When you called me I asked you to send me pix of your install. I could have told you this a week ago if you had sent me these then.

I call either operator error on the install or possibly you ordered the wrong plate or fat chance says your subframe is so tweaked that it moved the rack back

all my holes up front ran perfectly along the bottom of the radiator support and it sits about 1/2" from the pan and about 2-2.5" from the ground.

I'd be more concerned about your bald tires.

Why are your tires so fucking small? And there is nothing wrong with the skidplate design, whomever installed yours was just a moron. They are exceptional products and well worth the expense.
