    Degreaser

I dont know if this is been cover or not, but I've tried all the aftermarket degreaser for the typical diyer. None of them really work spetacular other than the generic oven cleaner.

Oven cleaner are the quickest way to rid of grim of a 20 year old car. It scraps off the oil in chunks and not just layers. I find it the easiest to use. Any comments welcome.

Oven cleaner will also corrode any unpainted metal if not removed COMPLETELY. Use suuuper purple shit from Castrol, found at local parts peddler. Buy a plastic kiddie pool from WhaleMart for the drippings.

Well, if you're interested in cleaning your entire engine bay, I've found the stuff you buy at your FLAPS to work just fine. I usually take my car to a Redi-Wash, spray it on and let it soak for 10-15 min. Hose it off and you're all good. Don't forget to cover your electronics!
