    Engine swap done- no fuel

    Maybe someone can chime in..

    Chassis-89 325i
    motor- 90 325i

Im not getting voltage at the pump. Checked fuel pump relay and found pins 30 and 86 are getting battery voltage with key in position 2. Im just not sure if the relay's being grounded by the ECU. The round connector under the intake is secure and the ground from chassis to the engine pan is also secure. I didn't mess with anything inside the car besides disconnecting the battery. Only in the engine bay. I have the exhaust off at the moment and the oxygen sensor off from the exhaust if it matters. Before I start checking pins at the ECU maybe im missing something stupid..thanks in advance.

Will the pump work if you jump the relay?

If the pump will run when the ignition is on and you jumper the relay contacts, the problem will be that the DME isn't grounding the fuel pump relay coil when you crank over the engine. That will be because the DME doesn't see timing data from the CPS. You could have a bad CPS or it and the cylinder ID connector may be swapped.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

        Or the relay is bad.

That was quick. I had a feeling it was something stupid. Ended up I had the CKM sensor swapped with the Ignition pick up..thus no fuel being pumped. Thanks! Fires right up now.
