    FUEL INJECTOR cleaning

What's the best way of cleaning fuel injectors. Just pouring cleaner into the tank takes for ever and doesn't work too well. I've heard of kits that attach directly.
Has anyone cleaned their injectors directly? if so, how?

    Thanks in advance...

Have it done professionally. Also get the injectors flow matched to one another at the same time.

        Don't use fucking seafoam.

They make kits that have a small bottle of cleaner, which is presurized by compressed air.
You pinch off the return line and run the engine off the cleaner until it's used up.

This is what the professionals use, not sure if it's available from the auto parts store. Perhaps.

Use sea foam, it's a great time if nothing else.

If they are clogged for real, fuel treatments won't work, or so I was told.

I got a spare set of stock B25 injectors if you want them fo cheap and then can have them cleaned and have min. downtime.

Exactly, It's a pressurized canister that blows through the injectors as the engine runs off it.
I've seen my mechanic use it. I think I'll just give it to him to do it for me...

I have an industrial ultrasonic cleaner here at work for cleaning parts, think it'd do anything to (er, for) a dirty injector? I can suspend the electrical part up out of the tank...

                      Autozone now sells Sea Foam.

I had read about Sea Foam on this board and was curious about it. Then a couple of weeks ago I was at an Autozone and they had a huge display of the stuff. I bought a can (I think it was $5 - $6) and went to my friends house to use it. Easy to use, but you need two people. One on the gas and one holding the can. My car smoked alot for a while but eventually stopped. Afterwards, I noticed the engine running smoother, quieter, but thought I might be imagining it. That night I drove around with my girlfriend (who isn't into cars) but didn't tell her I'd done anything to the car. At the end of the night I asked her, "Did you notice anything different about the car?" I didn't lead her on in anyway as to what change, if any, I might have made. And usually when I ask her this question it's because I've detailed the car or in some way changed the appearance of the car. Right away she said, "Yeah, I noticed it right after you picked me up. It seemed....smoother." So there you have it. An unbiased review. Can't say it improved my cars performance, mileage or tell you with any certainty whether or not it cleaned my fuel injectors, combustion chamber, engine,....... but the car definetly smoked for a while and definetly ran noticeably smoother and quiter.
