Ok so i go to start the car up today and it turns on no problem. I go to rev it and at about 2.5-3k it sputters the engine light flashes briefly and continues to do this till i left off the gas. Im thinking either fuel pump or timing issue but, the belt seemed ok to me. Any ideas?

M20B25 or B27? Intake leaks, bad grounds, could be numerous things, a little more info please. thanks -
m20b25, its a 89 325is. No prior problems that i know of. Almost sounds like the engine back fires a bit when i rev it. I will take a video tomorrow.-Alex

Engine light eh, I assume by that you mean the check engine light? You'll need to pull the code to get any real diagnosis bro.

The little red one on the bottom left, but it only comes on when i rev it, at idle its off. Already stomp tested with no a no fault code.-Alex
