car wont start now n then any ideas???

hey
ah i got a 1990 318i and at certain times the cars ignition wont start
im not sure if it has anyting to do with the transmission which is auto
was wondering if anyone else has had this problem?

Is it only during certain times, such as when it's stone cold, or when it's been driven and is warm? that could give you some clues. your transmission doens't effect starting, only the transfer of power to the wheels.
