    interchangeable fuel pumps?

my 89 325i is in need of a new intank fuel pump..i'm sure i don't need to tell you they're expensive.

i have sourced a FREE one from a local member on another board, but his is out of an 86 325e. According to my bentley manual, the fuel system was tweaked slightly between 87-88, will the intank fuel pump from his 86 325e work in my 89 325i?

sorry to create a new thread, i searched forever but came up with nothing.

    thanks!!

im having trouble finding the part number ... according to realoem the pump is listed as several different little parts:

does anyone have a part number for the fuel pump itself?

The pump is part number 16141184022 and it will come with part 16111744369 (o-ring).
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.
