    Plastic bumper mounting hardware

The PO of my Cabrio swapped to plastic bumpers, but used none of the mounting hardware that goes on the edges of the bumpers (that aligns them). So i purchased all the hardware, and i got the fronts on no problem, looks alot better :D.

But it was getting dark, so i didn't really put alot of effort into mounting the rear. Does the little metal plate that has the two screws (that bolts to the plastic peice) go on the outside of the body, or the inside?

Yes, i tried search but my internet is acting up, and the page would not load. I've been working on the car all day (with the bumpers and painting trim) and couldn't be arsed to try again. Flame away.

the rear bracket mounts on the outside of the body, but you should not have the bracket on the body that the plastic bracket mounts to (as you have a cabrio)

I'm tired, so did you mean i'm not supposed to have the bracket origionally, or that its not needed/cant fit?

I purchased the metal bracket and the plastic bracket that slides into the bumper, new.

your body doesnt have a indent to weld the metal bracket on tho...

i think if the top rail on the plastic bumper is cut off, it will fit. i dunno if you really want to install it if you don't need it, but here:

I had the same problem with my rear, plus the to bolts didnt line up right. I eventually got off my lazy ass and fixed it

I'm withholding pics until i get the trim painted/rockers painted/clean up the paint.

Should have some by next weekend, but the rears were especially hideous, they stuck out about 4 inches, it looked like a fat girl in a skinny thong. I'm not saying they fit exactly perfect, but it's damn close enough for my taste, and looks tons better
