fuse box removal help

Has anyone you removed the fuse box from an e30? The auxiliary fan in my daughter’s 1991 318is won’t turn on when the a/c button is pushed, and I think I’ve tracked down the problem to a burnt trace in the fuse box circuit board, specifically the ground circuit for the low-speed fan relay. I can see the damaged trace, but can’t figure out how to remove the fuse box to either repair or replace.
