What is it and what does it control?

Hi everyone! I’m chasing a low idle, erghh, and I was swapping dme’s and notes the attached connectors. Can someone please tell me what these connectors do? Should the white connector have something attached to it? I’ve been chasing this low idle in my ‘90 for what seems like forever. I’ve followed and read every post and I’m close to losing my mind.

I guess I should have mentioned that this connectors are in the glovebox next to the dme.
