Repairing Headlight wipers and a radio problem.

How do I go about repairing my headlight wipers? I have a 1987 320i (UK) with headlight wipers. The washers work, but they run for an extended length of time. The wipers however do not work at all. Any ideas?
Also, what could be wrong with my radio? The only way to turn my radio on (ie get some sound) is to turn the radio on (so that there is a display on the screen etc, but no sound) and then to slam the door. When I slam the door, the radio sound comes on immediatly. Any ideas on this one?

Headlight wipers are really rare over here in the US, you should try posting on e30zone.co.uk and see if they can help you.

LIkely a loose connection in the radio, being connected when you slam the door. As for wipers, they are quite uncommon on this side of the pond.

        Keep it slideways!!
