This is an interesting issue and I couldn't find it in search - I recently had the A/C converted to R134a in my 318is. The A/C works great, but it won't turn off unless I restart the car. I'm sure it's some kind of electrical issue, but not sure where to start here.
If I start the car with the A/C button high (aka unpressed or in the off position), the A/C is off. When I push the snowflake button down, it stays pressed and lights blue, and the A/C kicks on. However, if I press the snowflake to turn it off, the button goes back to unpressed/high, but stays dimly lit blue and the A/C remains on - I've tried messing with a number of HVAC settings and nothing seems to turn it off unless I shut the car off.
Anyone run into anything like this?
