    Well, it's probably inoperative. Unless you need the SRS system to pass an inspection (you shouldn't) you should just ignore the fault, swap the steering wheel and make sure your seat belt is in good condition (always a good idea).

    Below and forward of the headlight control knob, at least on a LHD car.

    I haven't checked that orange box, will do it today. I have pulled the steering wheel before, but I followed all the proper procedures (disc batter, wait, etc...).

    Is the orange box under dash still present/plugged in? The connector isn't something that can just be pulled out, so if disabled the steering wheel was likely removed and swapped back.

    1991 325i SRS light doesn't come on

    When I turn my car on the seat belt light (in the check panel) turns on, but the SRS light never does. I have made sure the bulb works, and made sure its not the check panel itself, but the light doesn't turn on. Make me think my SRS system doesn't work at all. I've checked the connectors under the hood, tried jumping pins 1 and 6, and still nothing. I have done a ton of searching, and haven't found an answer to what the issue is. Anyone know what could be going on???
