I'm really pissed at the moment. I did the whole big R134A conversion with PF condenser, new dryer, evap orings etc. Bought a Sanden 508 compressor of eBay. Then had to pay a place $750 to run custom ac lines to reach the new compressor, vacuum and charge the system. They called me and said I need a new compressor. "The pressures are all wrong".
So
1. Could this be possible, a cheap eBay Chinese Sanden 508 style compressor causing the problem? Because I don't want to buy another compressor and pay for a recharge if I don't have to.
2. At this point is it worth throwing more money into the AC or just screw it and only drive Fall through Spring (I live in Phoenix AZ)
3. Just get the car back, buy my own compressor and charge it myself somehow? (The shop wants another $818 to get a new compressor and recharge, parts & labor)
