E30 AC retrofit, how to wire upgraded condenser fan?

    I'm doing the r134 retrofit.
I've read many threads, some update to newer fans, some stay with the current one on their old condenser.
I bought a new fan per one of the how to threads, but didn't even think to ask why. It seems sticking with the og fan is a straight forward condenser swap. But I've read the newer fan I got off Amazon is higher flow and results in lower ac temps.

If this is true, the next question is how do I wire it in to work properly? Everyone seems to gloss over that in the how to's. Will I lose any functionality like dual speeds with a new non oem fan?

i thought it would be a simple one to one wire splice. But looking at the wiring bundle to the existing fan, there are more wires. Some go to what might be a resistor mounted to the old fan. Do I keep that with the new fan?

You can wire it the same as stock one. The resistor permits two speeds when the temperature gets hot.

Ok that's good to know. Is the common experience that the stock one doesn't typically flow as much as the aftermarket ones? I got a 14" 2400 cfm fan, but have no idea how much the stock one flows. I prefer keeping this stock if it's good enough and better quality.

      Thx in advance.
