My trunk only opens once per time I unlock the car. So say I shut the trunk while the car is unlocked, I can’t open it again unless I lock then unlock the car. Does anyone have any insight as to why this is happening?

Sounds like an issue with your linkage in the rear lock/latch area.
I'd take it apart and inspect the linkage. Probably something sticking once the trunk is slammed shut.If it's got tits or tires, it's gonna cost ya!Comment

Try a few locking cycles from the trunk, but put a window down just in case the trunk microswitch is faulty and you get locked out.Comment
