    1987 Australian Touring Car Championship Round 2, Symmonds Plains. Peter Brock 5 Ltr V8 Group A Commodore, has the daylights beaten out of him by a 2.4 Ltr BMW M3 driven by Jim Richards

          awesome, awesome awesome.

          I followed the touring cars here in Aus with my dad in the 80's, and the mix of cars made it so exciting. plus they were much closer to what you could buy from the showroom. Proper race on Sunday, sell on Monday stuff.

          When it was wet the M3s were all over the competition.

          Funny that Brock went to an M3 the next year. RIP

          BMW taking it to the local muscle :p
