    Need help!

Hey I found a 1989 e30 m3 with 200000 miles for sale. The guy is asking for 7500, do you think it's worth it? The exterior is in good shape no rust, interior isnt in the best shape, and the engine will need to be rebuilt because the piston went through the block. Please let me know what you all think. Thanks

It depends. If you want to do an engine swap then yes its worth it. You can sell some parts off the s14 and make about another 1k. If you want to keep the s14 then I would try to get if for a bit cheaper. By the time you buy an s14 and get it running in there you could buy a decent shape running matching numbers M3. Good luck. They are fun cars.

Thanks. I'm really trying to figure out if after I do an engine swap or rebuild the motor, will the car be worth more than I spent?

With 200k miles, if you got the car in presentable, running condition I would guess 10-13k in value. Thats only my opinion of course, but I looked for months before buying my M3 and those prices were about right. For what its worth I have built many, many cars and I have NEVER sold one for more than I have spent on it. I have got lucky and broke even but never made money. Build it how you want it and figure the rest out when/if you sell it.
