    Choice of RK's 16 or 17 both 8 wide

I have both 17's and 16's for my M3's and just trying to consider if I should what ones to get? I like the 16's for the tire size aka sidewall but the 17's in a 8 would be nice as you can get buy running a 235-40 and it not being stretched.

UNHCLL has RK on his 17 and they look great. Anyone have an old BBS catalog?

I would stay away from 16's, but only because of the lack of tire choices. It's a size that's being phased out, and 17's still look great on e30's, especially M's.

My 17's are sitting in storage. The car is so much more nimble and responsive on 16's. The 235's were way too heavy for actual driving (vs. hard-parking) unless you're actually tracking the car and need that grip.

For the street, I'd go 16's every day.

I think 235/40/17's are too big on the front (and they will likely rub at full lock)...215/40's are way better....this is the reason I run the 215's on the front and 235's on the rear. 17" x 8" rims all around...technically it's not a staggered setup since the wheels are all 8", but it drives great and looks sweet too!

That being said, I agree with Chris...16" dia wheels are great...but only if the tires were available. As soon as I find some really sweet 16" tires I'll mount them on E28 M5 16" x 7.5" BBS's and be loving it! Stock look only more aggressive wheel size and better offset (20mm as opposed to 30mm for the stock 15").

I plan to finally finish my 16" RS this year and will likely keep both sets as I can run the 17's on one of the E36's. Was looking for something different this year.

Yeah I have seen your car, I bought both sets. Set them to get refinished the 17's will most likely go on my Ti since the 17x8.5 Kosei K1's were sticking too far out of the wheel wells in front.
