oil pump question

Does anyone know the actual difference between the Evo oil pump vs stock?
I know the Evo is better. But how?
More volume? how does it achieve this? Larger impeller? More vanes?
more pressure? At idle or across the board?
Smaller sprocket?
I'm curious of the hard facts.
If someone has an old, bad Evo pump, I would be glad to disect it to hopfully find answers.
