Need E30 M3 Shop or Person to Put 88 M3 Back Together

    Hello Guys,

I just purchased this red E30 M3 in Chicago near O'Hare Airport. It is currently being stored at a body shop and is freshly painted and taken apart (doors, windows, trunk, dash etc.). I am looking for a reputable shop or person who is willing to help me put the car back together. I am located in Virginia and I have no way of transporting this car until it is put together. Any information on who to contact would be greatly appreciated.
Please PM me . I will reply as soon as possible. Thanks Mike

Good question. The owner of the body sold it to another company. The guy who painted it changed jobs. Bottom line, it is on my dime to figure it out now. That is how the deal was struck.

Ben Thongsai at B&D is in the Chicago area and typically has 3-5 e30 M3's in his shop at any moment. He may already know your car.

I made an appointment with Ben. However I am still weighing all my options.

Ben should be your only option in the Midwest, he is certainly the best in the region. Not a doubt

                          Hey everyone,

I decided to tow it back home and have Austin Sera (Tippy964) in Frederick work on it. It is back in his workshop now and he should begin a new thread on it soon.

                          Thanks for the tips.

                          Mike

I just met Ben for the first time out here in Cali last weekend, great guy. Very knowledgeable, and knows his stuff, not just with that car but all the older BMW's. Highly recommended.
