i'm pretty sure its the same as a standard e30 bar. it's mounting point is on the strut instead of the control arm which makes it more effective.

you would be best served to buy a cabrio front sway.

Using a Cabrio sway instead of the correct M3 sway bar will cause understeer. M3 sway bar is 19mm, 325i sway is 20mm and the carbrio is 21mm. If you can't find an M3 bar at least go for the 20mm 325i bar.

Thanks for your reply. I found an front M3 bar, thanks. However, your reply is very interesting - you are the first one that has advocated for using the M3 front bar.

I have just about finished my winter suspension / brake refresh. The setup in my Cabriolet is, H&R sport spring with Bilstein struts and shocks. I am also running an M3 14mm rear bar. I have moved the front sway bar attachment point to the struts. I have both an M3 front 19mm and my stock Cabrio 21mm swaybar ready to install. - Now the dilemma - which one to install?

        Any additional thoughts?

With the strut mounted sway bark links I think the leverage ratio is different. So a 19mm M3 bar with M3 links acts stiffer than a 20mm 325i bar with regular links. Hope that makes sense.

If you're running strut mounted sway bar links I'd try and stay with the 19mm bar. It's actually still available new from BMW if you can't find one.

At last check all E30 sway bars were available from BMW, and they're reasonably priced. Well worth it IMO as you're not getting a 25+ year old spring.
