mcoupe rear brakes

can you put the rear brakes from a 99 m coupe on to an e30 which has 318ti rear suspension/trailing arm setup? I did the e36 m3/318ti conversion and now have access to m3 rear calipers and rotors, so I'm curious to see if they will work on my car.

when i did my z3 rear end swap i had a set of m3 calipers handy to swap on.

the problem i ran into is that the bolt holes were too far apart on the m3 caliper.

i did not investigate at the time if a simple adapter could be made.

i'd like to know what you eventually find out because i'd like to put mine on.
