Cheapest way to 5 lug the trailer?

I want to 5 lug the trailer if I can do it super cheap. All I really need is a hub and rotor, no caliper etc. I also want whatever hub I use to fit E30 axles to accommodate my custom axle ends.

    Crazy, I know.

:) You like mine, don't you?. I used 84 318i trailing arms and pressed in 318ti hubs.

Can I use the 318ti hubs in the 325 trailing arms?

        only if you machine a spacer for it. OD 42mm x ID 39mm x H 37mm

or just get z3 hubs. If you already have ti hubs, find someone parting any 84-85 e30 for trailing arms.

It should work. The rear e30 325 & m3 control arm are the same.

Alright, I'd rather go with Z3 then so I don't have to touch that rear subframe/arms.

            Which year/engine Z3?

What does that have to do with 318ti hubs?

Any z3 hubs out of an inline-6 model... 4 bangers had small bearing as well. don't have to worry about anything else and can reuse your axle stubs to keep bearing/hub in place.

One of rear arms is a e30 325 & changed bearing to e30 m3 bearing so 5 lug hub would fit.

Awesome, thanks for the info. I knew you'd come through, haha.

Know of anywhere online to look or should I hit the local salvage yards?

                        you know...

For a trailer, because you don't need brakes or any thing else... You can just use standard e36 rear hubs. Fit right into trailing arms, but will take about 5mm off the rear offset.

Wheel will be 5mm further in, right? Can I mount a wheel without a rotor on there though? I didn't think it would sit right.

What are you saying, M3 and 325i wheel bearings are the same. Which means you just have to pull the 4 lug hub and fit the m3 one... no change in bearing unless it is worn out.

@MR325 I would think you would need to make a spacer to fit the face of the hub if you don't want to run brake discs, because there is a mounting spigot for the disc that won't allow the wheel to mount flush.

Or another though I'm sure you could machine down the spigot to the same size as the wheel spigot, then mount?

                              ^yup, that's your answer...

PS: never heard of the word "spigot" before, but I will gladly use on a the next homosexual mexican I see.
