e36m3 front 318ti rear shaving hub rotor wheel

has anyone shaved a few millimeters of the hub, rotor and wheel to get a higher offset to get wheels to sit inside fenders without major pulling of fenders. i have 318ti rear and e36m3 front. was wondering if i could get some more clearance to run e38 style 5's on it. i talked to a wheel shop that said they could safely shave 3-5mm from the back side of the wheel. if i could get another 3-5mm from rotor and hub i would be a little closer to a et32-38 in the rear. any input on safety and strength of parts with this kind of set up.

I've seen Style 5, and I don't think "safely" is a responsible word, when taking 3-5mm there. Shaving down the hub is also not the best idea

Not to bust your balls, but that was a lazy answer! :D - you know what I mean.

I interested in running the same set up, and there are at least one guy running it.

I think there is the answer in the 5-lug swap "what wheels are you running thread"

It's really an appealing choice over the the $10,000,000 e30m30 swap.
