    E36 M3 front rotors - all years = same?

I need to replace the rotors on my E36 M3 front brakes. I'm not sure what year brakes the PO installed - are all E36 years the same fitment? If not, how do I determine which year mine has? I would like to get solid face [edit: non-cross-drilled] rotors if available.

    Thanks

solid non-vented... WHY?! they gonna be heavy as F.
to answer your question. yes, but not the control arms.

you also defeat the purpose of the bigger brakes with solid rotors. doubt they even make them... why did you go w 5-lug?

:( You are correct, I was mistaken - I'm a slow learner sometimes. The old rotors were cross-drilled, the new ones are vented but have a solid surface for the pads. Thanks for pointing that out.

And to answer your question, I inherited the 5-lug from the PO. It's on a daily driver cabrio that seldom goes over 85mph, so big brakes etc. are not really needed.

Next question. My new rotors are not marked left and right, and the vanes are single-directional. How can I tell which is which?

same as a turbine. air sucked in through the middle, "flinged" outward by the vanes. Rotate this turbine clockwise.

So you want to go forward, make sure that direction flings the air out ;)
