5 lug conversion with coilover help

i am in the market to do a 5lug conversion with coil overs and need some help from someone who has done the same in the past. a friend of mine was parting out a e36 m3 97 and gave me a pair of strut housings with the hub and brakes for the front and i am looking into the z3 or the 318 ti rear conversion but wanted to know how to add e36 m3 rear brakes so the car has a more balanced brake system? i am also looking at the ground control coils that they have kit together for e30's with a 5 lug swap. if anyone has pointers or can help with the rear brake questions it would be greatly appreciated.

Also, did you get the control arms with the other e36 m3 front bits your friend gave you?

if your friend still has the parts, grab the lower control arms as well. you need those and some offset bushings, or your castor will be fucked.

but other than that, just try to find a whole Z3M rear end. you need trailing arms and hubs for the brakes, but at that point you may as well upgrade to the beefier halfshafts and trick diff cover.

That would work. Make itself easy on you and get the whole setup with rear crossmember, drop the old one, bolt the new one on. You'll have to deal with exhaust hangers though.

sounds good, i already upgraded my diff with 40% lock and finned cover so i shouldnt have to mod the diff? just the subframe drive axle's, trailing arms, and hubs

you'll have to swap the output flanges on your diff, the Z3M's are larger than the standard E30. but since you already have the diff cover, that's all you'll need.

also, while you have it all out, reinforce the swaybar mounts, weld-in toe and camber adjusters, and change out the subframe bushings, RTABs, and the like.

sounds good. i have subframe polyurethane bushings for the e30, will thoes fit with the z3m's subframe?
