Do i need a 5-lug

Love my IE 310mm 6 piston kit. Lots of wheel clearance and replacement pads and rotors are very cheap. Cheaper then getting track pads for stock brakes. The kit will eventually pay for itself just in brake pads.Leave a comment:

Done, and done! Basic kit is 1 million rubles shipped, and the quick release option actually provides a discount of 250,000 rubles. The hubs and bearings are actually off of the Brabus ForTwo. You won't be disappointed! You'll be roll'n so hard you'll be roll'n on rotors!Leave a comment:

Stop working on my 5 lug swap immediately and set me up with this instead. I want it so that I can quick release my steering wheel and all four wheels at the same damn time. That will help me save weight and I'll have incredible braking traction.Leave a comment:

Yessir, I developed a proprietary 1/2 lug bolt designed to save massive amounts of unsprung weight per wheel; and I'll be including my special, randomized quick release option for the wheels that is activated when you hit a large pot hole, go over a large bump, etc.Leave a comment:

yes, it's not lightyears better, but it is very noticeable and i bet the OP will be using the e36M brakes which are far superior to the stock e30 brakes.Leave a comment:

The stock M3 brakes aren't exactly groundbreaking, and being 5 lug makes no difference. They are still heavy, cast iron single piston brakes. The rotor is a little bit larger - but not by a huge amount.
if you can lock up your tires, bigger brakes aren't going to help you stop any faster, and if you aren't tracking the car, the extra heat capacity of a bigger rotor isn't going to do you any good either.Leave a comment:

do it. better wheel option and it's always better to be safe than sorry.
drive an M3 and step on the brakes, then tell me why BMW didn't make all e30s 5lug and larger brakes, idk. after owning an M3 and seeing how well it stops, 5-lug is well worth it. esp with an S54's weight.Leave a comment:

I think the main reason for 5-lug is the wheel selection grows quite a bit.Leave a comment:

5 lugs are a waste of money. I'd rather use that to get a nice lightweight BBK for the 4-lug hubs. Pretty much all OEM brakes are just as heavy and weak as any other - and as said, you don't need it on the street, and probably not even on the track if you aren't super experienced.Leave a comment:
