e36 m3 conversion... brakes locked with e30 m3 master cylinder
It wasn't the M3 master cylinder. The alignment disk in the booster wasn't fully seated, and when it slipped out and forward, it let the pedal side of the connecting rod between the booster and the master cylinder slip downward, which put the connecting rod at an angle and kept the master cylinder from returning far enough to release the pressure. Then, each time the brakes were actuated, they pumped up a little more until they locked the wheels up solid.
Not a terribly clear explanation, but I hope it works for you.
