    Ti 5 lug.

    Hello.
I've read most of the thread here in the 5 lug section and couldn't find
answere to some of my questions.

Do those sbi m3 rotor adaptors work on ti suspension?
Calipers are complete bolt on with the adaptors?
By how much will this change the offset?

Wich exact m3 controle arm do I need? I read 95 and up, and some threads
I read 96 and up, others, 97 and up. <--?

What do you guys use for aftermarket shocks/springs?
I know the rears I can use e30 stuff but it won't match the front (whatever shock/spring I use).

Do I use e30 or e36 camber plates?
Wich ones are best for this?

    1. sbi adapters only needed to fit e36m3 calipers/rotors fitted on e30m3 fronts.
    2. ti rear control arms and hubs. ti (or z3) rear calipers / rotors.....or.......mzcoupe calipers / rotors for larger size. e36/e36m3 calipers and rotors dont fit the ti/z3 stuff.
    3. i highly recommend using the e36m3 bilstein front struts vs the e36 front struts. e36m3 has the same spring diameter as the e30....so use e30 springs front and rear. i personally used the e36m3 offset upper strut bearing cap and modified it. whacked off the studs, drilled new holes, welded in new studs. see pic.

the only real downfalls of the e36 stuff is.....1. increased ride height, im guessing about 1/2". 2. caster is off.

    cheers, jason

      Thanks for the response jason.
So I will be able to bolt on the m3 brakes up front
but on the rear I'll need to use the Mcoupe?
Calipers are also bolt on right?

I'm actually going to go aftermarket springs/struts so I won't ride so high.
Are you saying that, for example:
If I get some 2'' lowering springs struts for the e36ti I'll only drop my car like 1inch?
I'm also going with camber plates and the only one that looks like they're work are the GC ones with adjustable caster too. Is there a better one out there for this swap? Will it lower or raise the car?

What year m3 control is needed to get alittle more caster?
I have access to a e36m3 so would it be a smart Idea to get the hubs-spindles from that car? I dont' know if there's a diffrence.

      Laste question.
I understand that will all these things I'll just bearly make it within stock specs but is there another BOLT ON way get some aggressive caster/camber?
Anyone try to bend the control arms?

        ?
e36m3 front calipers/rotors on any e36 knuckle. e36m3 bearing are beefier though. mcoupe rear calipers/rotors are bolt on.

yes. but again, i would recommend using the e36m3 front struts....then you can use your e30 springs. if you use e36ti/325 struts you will be forced into using e36 springs and e36ti/325 bearing cap which is more difficult to modify.

thats the million dollar question. if you use bolt on camber/caster plates it will add to ride height....if you use adj bearing caps then you dont need to modify the e36 cap.....but keep in mind the different spring diameters and bearing cap bolt pattern between e30 / e36 / e36m3.

        cheers, jason

Not to hijack this thread too much but....how much will these camber plates affect ride heigth in front?

          Tnx,

whatever the thickness of the plate is = ride height increase.

I'm planeing to get the GC ti coilover.
              A good price at $1,200.

I've been readinf more and looks like I'll need the m3 hub/spindle to be able
to use the M3 brakes and in the rear I'll have to stick with the stock
              ti brakes.

              Could someone answere this questions?

Will the GC e36 camber plate fit on my towers? Do they allow more caster/camber then just modding the stock bearing cap like you did?

Can we get a side shot of your car to get an idea how offcenter it'll look?
              thanks.

You will need the e36 M3 spindle/kingpin assembly to run the big brakes.

Rear you are stuck with stock Ti brakes AFAIK.

The e36 upper mount studs do not line up on a e30. I suspect a part made to fit the e36 wouldnt work on a e30 either...

Adjusting caster at the top of the strut has no profound affect on wheel centering.
Jason is still noticeably set back.

                    Awsome.
I got the front m3 stuff except for the rotors.
Going with new brembos and didn't get the
controle arm either because I was unsure what years I need it
                    from. <---still need to confirm

I was thinking I could use the e30 camber plate since they're made for
the same size springs as the e36 coilovers.
                    Thanks for the response jordan.

Doesn't look like much; a degree maybe, but can't hurt.

What would be a good way (probably the only way) of getting some agressive numbers in your opinion jordan?

                    Jason:
How much camber does that mod take away?
More then 2.5 deggress you'd say? How about caster?
