can you repress a new wheel bearing

I sent my friend to get my rear hub bearing pressed in, for my e30 m3 5 lug swap. But he forgot what I wanted to do and just took the trailing arm and bearing leaving the new e30 m3 hub and m3 dust shield behind..

Can someone tell me from expirience if its ok to repress the rear wheel hub bearing? its new and thanks for any help

I'm not sure this helps your problem. But when I did the front bearing hub combos I separated the bearing races on accident while pressing and had to buy a whole new assembly because they just won't fit together once split. It was an 80$ Whoopsidaisy. At least with the rears the bearings are separate from the hub so it isn't as expensive if you have to rebuy. Is be tempted to just forget about the dust shields but if memory serves the abs connector is bracketed to the shield. You'll want to secure it if you run sans shield

So long as you use a proper press tool and they don't fall apart on you you should be fine.
