Ok, so I plan to buy and e30 very soon that has already been converted to a 5-lug with e36 components. My question is what would I need to go back to a 4-lug (I plan to getting GC coils) and when using e36 parts is there any customization/welding required or will everything be a direct swap back?...I realize there are many threads on 5-lug swaps but I couldn't find much on going to a 4-lug. Thanks!

Everything related to a E36-based 5 lug swap is bolt-on if it was done by a sane person.
You can simply remove the complete strut housings, brakes, control arms, and trailing arms and replace them with the original parts.Comment

Boils down to if it was done right or half A$$ed. There are also 16" wheels that will fit over E36 M3 brakes.Comment

Stock 4 lug is the way to go unless you can find all E30 M3 parts.
Because it is done right, with correct scrub radiusWho the hell is saying this? I took my old E36 M3/Z3M 5 lug E30 to 150mph. No wobbles.Comment
