MZ3 Parts + E30 Diff Case Size Question

    Hello Everyone,

I found a rear suspension from a Z3M last week! :D (Got it relatively cheap too!) I plan to swap the Z3M flanges onto my E30 4.1 Diff until I do the planned M60 swap next winter. My E30 is a 91 318 M42, so it came with a Small Case Diff. Will I need to swap to a Med Case Diff to get everything to fit correctly where spacing is concerned? I know that the Small Case uses longer flanges so they could use the same axels as on the Med Case equipped cars.

    Thanks,

    -Dustin

Now I'm reading that there isn't a difference in the width of the Diff Cases just the lengths... Which of course contradicts what I read somewhere else. When it shows up on its pallet the measuring tape will tell me the truth.

You will need to swap to a medium case diff. The small case diff won't work with those flanges.
