How sure are you ? i would take to spend money and time to put it all together just to find out the wheels are sticking out or something equally stupid... would i need anything else for that conversion ? or is that all ?

another question is... e36 318ti breakes... are these any better than stock e30 325i ? would they possibly fir larger e34 disks/breaks/etc ? priovded larger wheel :) ?

After this kind of swap wheels must have similiar et as the e36/e46/e30m3 rims have, e28/e34/e32 type wheels will most likely stick out.

        offset does not really matter....

what I'm worried is wheels geometry that canot be easliy/at all adjusted, as centering front wheel in the wheel arch, camber (can be corrected with camber plates but this is $$$)

the only reason i'd consider 5 lug update is for cheap large breaks... like possibly bmw 7 series brakes or such that I could just get from junkyard and rebuild....

re wheel choice... new wheels cost pretty much the same... I do not want huge wheels, ideally 16", 215 or 225 max...

basically i fail to see the benefits of 5 lug conversion... a while ago i decided i wont do it, BUT now i have the opportunity of purchasing everything cheaply and I cant make up my mind... (i know i'm like a woman)...

are there any actual advantages of 5 lug swap other than choice of wheels ?

You've got the groups mixed up. e30 M3s use a low offset.

Lower than e36 yes, but higher than e34/e28.

Mops , you'll need to add 96+ E36 front control arms and M3 offset lower control arm bushings to that mix for them to even be near the acceptable specs the front needs to be at .

The ft caster will still have slightly more negative caster than you'd ideally want , but it will work .

Also on the rear I don't believe the subrame will interchange with the E30 subframe , you'll want to just swap over the complete trailing arms with brakes and all .

                E30 M3 / E30 325is / E34 525iT / E34 535i

I did pretty much the samething on the front of mine e28 front hubs and a spacer in between the rotor and hub, but used e36 m3 front rotors and calipers. Made brackets and welded them to my stock strut housings machined the hubs and stock e30 abs rings so the abs rings would fit and abs works fine. Wheels are centered in the wheel well and no issues so far. working on the rear now and yes I have been driving it half swaped. I will finish the rear soon

Can you post up some pics?

I have alot of questions about the spacer, and had to be done to the e28 hubs.
