Possible 5 lug nub for stock e30 strut.

Most of you must already be familiar with www.300mm.de

    Check out the 325mm conversion.

"Es ergibt sich ein gleichzeitiger Umbau auf 5*120 Lochkreis (durch Spezialradnabe)"

    = something like

Youll get assembly of 5*120 bolt pattern (via special wheel hub)

Ok what is this? Custom hub, or BMW hub(e28, e34, e36 or m3 e0) with adapter to fit e30 strut or what?

    I'll e-mail them.

I got email from 300mm.de, and they told me that the hub is specially modified e28 piece.

They wouldn't tell specific what was done to it, but found this from e30.de:

He is using e30 m3 hubs(which are almost identical to e28) with a "spacer" between the strut stub axle and hub.

The inner dust cover from strut must be custom made, As far as I can understand german.

Stay tuned, I have now all BMW pieces on my table, and it looks doable, brakes are still mystery, but trial hub should be on my car during this year.

No progress here, I have all bits, but I'm too lazy to draw the adapter.

This is only going to work for the fronts, though, right?

Right. Rears can be modified, but they are a hassle and parts would likely cost more than bolt on e30 m30 hub.

And I have no idea which brakes I'll use.

Hmmm, we're parting out a 535 soon, I wonder if it's worth stealing some parts off of it...

any updates ? I'm so keen for 5 lug mog, BUT forget about e30m3 parts in NZ or OZ. so ti has to be e28 or e36...

                          No updates, no progress.

Still looks doable, but is not on my priority list right now.

I mesured that e36 hub would be easier than e28 and they give you chance to keep your existing ABS. I also spotted that Korean Chevrolet Captiva front discs are a close fit with e36 hubs.

For my swap I bought complete 323ti rear axle, 5-swap will most likely happen next spring since I need my -88 for DD for the winter time.

I looked around, is there a definitely list of components to buy for 5 lug conversion ?

I have a chance to buy quite cheaply:

e36 318ti rear subframe, complete with diffr and brankes, aswell as 318ti front struts. would these be any goos to fir to e30 or not quite ? I dont care about abs, i dont have that. I'm concerned only about wheel geometry...

I already have all polyurethane bushings, and i already have 36 (non M) front control arms fitted to e30 (aparently interchangable item, however i seem to have quite massive negative chamber - i havent measured it but it will be like few degrees)

That ought to work for you then. I say get it.
