Which swaybar links to use on swapped cars?

which style links fit best for the e36M3 front suspension swap? From what I understand, keeping the swaybars parallel to the control arms (keeping the joints all about 90 degrees) is optimal.

stock e30 (non-M) style to the control arms

or

e30M3 links (long ones) to the struts

or

e36M3 links (long ones) to the struts

well, if your using E36M3 units, and either coil overs or just springs, get some adjustable E36M3 style ones.

someone else recommended that to me as well. I have e30 bars and e36 struts. I'll take a look to see what I can get. Any more input from anyone who has done the swap would be much appreciated.

dont the e36 control arms have the hole for the mounting of a sway bar e30 style? i was thinking about this aswell and was just gonna bolt it where it would go on an e30...

ANSWER: the e30 bars DO bolt up to the later e36 control arms in front, no problem. It's how I did it on my swap. Way to answer your own shit, eh?

since you are using the M3 struts, i think you will find that using either the M3 E30 or M3 E36 swaybar link will provide you with better performance. dont ask me why but i would assume that BMW Motorsport did this for a reason. the links are cheap i say swap them out and find out, but as i said i think the later versions will work better.

I might switch them out soon (the stock E30 ones for the adjustable E30/E36 M3 style)... the ones I am using have some miles on them and I guess it wouldn't cost too much.

Also, I have searched some, and have found a few answers, but... can I get some links (if anyone has some) to some vendors for these style adjustable links? I am looking for ones with heim joints so the rotation of the strut is handled better. Any help is appreciated as usual. Thanks!

IE has the adjustable E30 M3 links for $85 retail. I plan on using them for mine.

The adjustable ones are good to eliminate preload, that's the purpose correct? I believe that using the m3 style links to the strut increase the effective rate of the sway bar, correct? If you want a stiffer sway up front then it'd be a good idea and the cheapest way to accomplish this, but if your car is neutral or understeers then it might be counter productive.
